The NFC East sucks.
The Cowboys were battered by the Cardinals on MNF and yet with 2 wins on the season will go back to the top of the division if they win here. Andy Dalton proved what we all already knew, that he’s not a suitable replacement for Dak Prescott as he threw 2 INT’s in his first start as starter whilst Zeke Elliot is in his own head with his fumbling issues as less than a week after saying he “won’t fumble the ball again this season” then preceded to lose fumbles not once but twice against Arizona but their biggest problem is a defense completely unable to stop anyone regardless if its through the air or on the ground it’s just an awful defense and now Dak isn’t here to throw for over 500 yards to keep the Cowboys in games they could be in real trouble.
Washington are unlucky not to be level at 2-4 with the Cowboys, If Kyle Allen would’ve been able to find a receiver on the 2 point play in the last 30 seconds of the game with the Giants last week they would be in with a shot of sitting atop the division with a win here but although unable to get the W last week Kyle Allen didn’t have a bad game and will have an even friendlier pass defense to throw against here than he did last week but the biggest advantage Washington have in this game is their pass rush, Dallas are beat up across the line and gave up 3 Sacks in a game for the third time this season last week whilst Washington have proven themselves more than capable of getting to the passer ranking in the top 10 for Sacks so I’m expecting Chase Young and co to give Dalton no rest or time in the pocket.
I’m taking Washington in a close low scorer here based on their ability to get to Dalton and make his life difficult I also really do not trust this Cowboy secondary and with Terry McLaurin seeing at least 7 targets a game this season I think he can turn one of those into a score.
PREDICTION: WASHINGTON 23 – 21 COWBOYS
