CHICAGO BEARS @ LOS ANGELES RAMS

Sneakily good MNF game here as the somehow 5-1 Bears head to La La Land to take on the 4-2 Rams.

The Rams are coming off a somewhat surprising defeat to divisional rivals San Francisco in a game where they uncharacteristically played the run tough but succumbed to the air attack but that isn’t something I expect them to struggle with in this one as the Bears are a team built to stifle on defense and do just enough on offense to win the game and where the Rams have been a little susceptible on D is in the Run game but this Bears offense is hardly the unit to take advantage of that as they’re one of the worst teams In pro football at running the football effectively. On Offense Goff struggled against the Niners and it doesn’t get much easier against this Bears pass defense which is amongst the leagues best. I expect to see a lot of the run game against Chicago and with Henderson being probable heading into it it could be time for Cam Akers to step up.

The Bears are sitting pretty at 5-1 and much of the reason is an imperious defense which has only given up over 25 points once this year and that was to the free scoring but stay losing Atlanta Falcons. The Offense hasn’t been pretty but they’ve been doing enough to win games because the Defense is able to keep opponents to low score, the Bears have only put up 30 points once this season and that was against the porous Falcons defense and porous is not an acquisition that can be thrown at the Rams Defense who have only given up 30 or more points just once this year and that was against the Buffalo Bills’ red hot offense which has since fallen off a cliff.

So we have a battle between two winning teams with good defenses, I expect both teams but the Rams in particular to try and establish the run game which will eat time off the clock and this is a good thing if you’re backing the under… which we are.
