The Jets are in trouble here..
Adam Gase is still in a job and the Jets are still winless, coincidence? I think not. It was an improved performance last week against the Bills but ultimately still managed to lose a game in which they were the only team to score a TD. Sam Darnold threw two more interceptions taking his tally on the season to six and the first of the two really changed the game and swung the momentum in the Bills favour, momentum is real and in no other sport is that demonstrated more than Football.
Kansas headed to Denver in week 7 and played in the first snow game of the year and didn’t really need Patrick Mahomes to do much on their way to 43 points and a win, Mahomes completed 15 passes for 200 yards and a TD and whilst a stat line like that is a Sam Darnold pipe dream for Mahomes it’s a quiet day in the pocket. The Chiefs Defense does a stellar job against the pass but is a little more susceptible to the run game although they could rank dead last in both and I’d still take the Chiefs by 10.
Let’s be real, the Chiefs are winning this game and it isn’t close, the only question is if they beat them by more than 20 points or not but there is a very nice storyline to this game and that’s Le’Veon Bell playing the Jets so soon after being released by them and everything points towards him having success in this matchup especially when we’re considering success to be going over his current 40.5 rushing yards total. Bell had 39 yards on 6 carries in his Chiefs debut but remember that was a snow game. In three previous games against his former team Bell has averaged 45.3 yards on the ground and something tells me he’ll be keen to show the Jets exactly what they wasted..
PREDICTION: CHIEFS 35 – 13 JETS
BEST BET: Le’Veon Bell over 40.5 rushing yards – 5/6. 1 point bet.
