How about the Saints! They made sure everyone knows who the big dogs in the NFC South are with a dominating win over the Tom Brady and the Bucs, beating them for the second time this season and handing Brady the biggest loss of his career and now they welcome a severely depleted Niners side to the Superdome.
Drew Brees diced up the Bucs secondary in week 9 throwing for 4 TD’s and completing over 81% of his passes, he was no doubt aided by the return of his favourite target Michael Thomas who caught 5 of 6 passes on his return and makes everyone’s life on the offense a little easier. As well as the Offense impressing against the Bucs the Defense stepped up in a big way keeping the Bucs scoreless through 3 quarters and only surrendering a FG to an Offense that has Tom Brady throwing to three genuine number one receivers and now get a chance to go against a Niners Offense who are without their starting QB and number one pass catcher. The Niners Defense which is just as beat up as their Offense gave up 4 TD’s and over 300 yards in a blowout loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers so I’m sure will be thrilled at the prospect of having to face a Saints side coming off a statement win.
This should be an easy win for the Saints and we expect Drew Brees to spread the ball around as he did against the Bucs, Thomas’ presence should present greater opportunities for Emmanuel Sanders to add to his 3 TD’s this season.
