The still beaten up Niners travel to LA to take on the hot Rams who’re coming off of a defensive performance to be proud of picking off Tom Brady twice as they out played the Bucs in Florida.

The Niners headed into their bye week on the back of three losses and have been unfortunate with injuries all season and will once again be relying on Nick Mullens under centre and he will again be without the Niners primary receiving weapon as George Kittle is still out injured. The Niners are hoping for a boost though as Raheem Mostert and Richard Sherman should be available and Mostert’s inclusion will be paramount to any Niner success on offense although they’ll be up against a Rams defense which ranks in the top 5 against the run but that’s still probably the best route for San Fran as the Rams play the pass even better than they play the run and rank as the leagues second best pass defense. Kyle Shanahan always gives the Niners a chance to put points on the board and has had two weeks to prepare for this Rams team so I’m sure we’ll see some scheme beaters in the run game from the Niners.

LA might’ve only beaten the Bucs by three points but they were the dominant team and it would’ve been a lot more comfortable had Jared Goff not thrown a couple of silly INT’s, the second time in three games he’s thrown multiple picks in a game. LA not only dominated on the defensive side of the ball against the Bucs but their WR tandem of Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods dominated what was a top 10 pass defense as both guys had double digit receptions and 130+ receiving yards but this Niner pass defense is just as good if not better than the Bucs and they have always done a great job against Cooper Kupp never allowing him more than 4 receptions against them and have only given up more than 30 yards to him just once.

The Niners beat LA in their first meeting this season but are now even more beat up than they were then but with Shanahan having extra time to prepare for the Rams it gives me pause although not enough to pick against the Rams.

As for best bets we’re going to go with Cam Akers, the rookie has struggled at times this season and although the Niners boast a top 10 run defense his U/O rushing yards total is really low at only 18.5 a number he’s bettered in 4 of his 6 games this season and in both games he’s played at home.

BEST BET: Cam Akers over 18.5 rushing yards. 5/6 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.
