The NFC East leading New York Giants welcome the Arizona Cardinals to the Meadowlands. The Giants shocked the Football world with their win in Seattle last week whilst the Cardinals are on a three game skid. Can the Giants tighten their lead on the East or will the Cardinals get back on track and boost their playoff hopes?

Huge upset for the Giants last Sunday as they walked into Seattle and dominated the Seahawks on their way to a 17-12 win. Seattle have been putting up points for fun most of this season but their offense was kept to just 10 points (Seattle’s defense scored 2) as the Giants got plenty of pressure on Russell Wilson, sacking him 5 times posting double digit QB Hits, with Leonard Williams in particular impressing on the defensive line. The offense once again relied on its run game and Wayne Gallman delivered with 135 yards against what is a decent run defense but the issues arise when they try to throw the ball, the Giants haven’t even thrown 10 passing TD’s this season and with Colt McCoy under Center I don’t expect them to drastically improve in that area here.

Arizona have been in a funk since beating the Bills on a miracle play, losing all three of their games since then and have lost 4 of their last 5 and if not for Kyler Murray pulling a rabbit out of the hat in the last seconds against Buffalo this side would be on a 5 game skid. The issue seems to be the predictability of the offense and the fact that if Murray doesn’t produce magic they don’t seem to win. I have faith that Kliff Kingsbury can and will make the right amendments to his offense but it’s a question of when? Murray’s ability to escape pressure should negate some of the pass rush ability of the Giants but this a good defense and one that’ll need more than what the Cardinals have shown of late to be beaten.

Interestingly and somewhat opposite of the Cardinals is the Giants recent run, unbeaten in their last 4 games and have won 5 of 7 since starting the season with 5 straight losses, and those 2 losses? They’ve been by a combined score of just 3 points. So we have a team at home who are unlucky not to be on a 7 game win streak but instead riding a 4 game one and with a ton of confidence sitting atop their division against a road team who’ve lost 3 on the bounce and are lucky not to be riding a 5 game losing streak..

I’m taking the Giants to win outright but I really like them ATS (against the spread) here, they’re 8-4 ATS on the season and 8-2 ATS as dogs so although I like them straight up my best bet is to take the points, Giants +3.

BEST BET: NY GIANTS +3 match points – 5/6 with SkyBet. 1 point bet.
