Game of the Week here as the #1 seed travels to the #3 seed in the AFC. Can the Steelers bounce back from their first defeat of the season or will the Bills extend their impressive form and hand Steelers their second loss of the season?
Buffalo were fantastic in defeating the Niners on MNF, the defense played well and gave the Niners offense a tough time running the ball, forcing Nick Mullens to try and beat them with his arm, something he was never likely to do and instead it was left to a man who is more than capable of beating teams with his arm, Josh Allen diced up a top 5 Niners pass defense to the tune of 375 yards, 4 TD’s and 0 INT’s whilst completing 80% of his passes. A performance of similar ilk tonight against the NFL’s #1 defense would make him favourite for the MVP.
The Steelers suffered their first loss of the season on Monday night against a Washington team build on defense, and were able to keep the Steelers to just 3 second half points. No team have had more drops than the Steelers and it’s an issue that needs to be fixed as it’ll cost them games come playoff time. The elite unit of this 11 win Steeler side is the defense but even they will be ever so slightly undermanned with Bud Dupree and Joe Haden not available.
I really can’t call this game! I could easily see the Steelers defense stifling the Bills offense and I could quite easily see the opposite too. I’m a Bills fan and I’ll take my side in a real close game. As for my best bet I’m going with Stefon Diggs, the Bills WR has been Josh Allen’s best friend all season and with his receptions U/O being set at 5.5, a number he’s gone over in his last 9 games and in 12 of his 13 appearances this season.
PREDICTION: BILLS 24 – 23 STEELERS
BEST BET: Stefon Diggs OVER 5.5 receptions – 8/13 with SkyBet. 2 point bet.
