Important game in the NFC North as the division winning Packers travel to the Windy City looking to secure the #1 seed in the NFC and a bye week, but in their way are the Bears who will be looking for a win to secure their own post season berth.
The Packers lost Tackle, David Bakhtiari to a torn ACL in practice earlier this week and will miss the playoffs in what is a huge loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Green Bay are at near full health apart from that and with knowing they can secure a bye week with a win here, I expect Rodgers dominance of the Bears to continue.
Chicago have been a lot better on offense since Matt Nagy gave up play calling duties, and it’s allowed the Bears rushing attack to thrive with Mitch Trubisky under Center, his dual threat ability makes life easier for the whole Offense and I’ll be interested to see how this Bears offense who’ve scored 30+ points in each of their last four games will do against a Packers Defense who’ve quietly played well.
I’m taking the Packers in a close one but if the Bears can put 30 or more points on this Packers defense they’ll be a team to avoid in the post season. Mitch Trubisky has completed 24 or more passes in 4 of his 5 games since taking over from Nick Foles and we like him to go over his 22.5 number in this game, where he’ll be forced to throw the ball if the Packers get out in front as they’ve done often this year.
PREDICTION: PACKERS 27 β 24 BEARS
BEST BET: Mitch Trubisky OVER 22.5 passing attempts – 5/6 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.
