The winless Jaguars welcome division rival Titans to Duval, hoping to take advantage of a Titans side sure to be licking their wounds after an OT loss to the New York Jets.
All the while Urban Meyer does his best to get fired, so he can be free to take the USC job, nobody is going to take the Jaguars seriously as a franchise. Yes, they have a ‘Generational talent’ at QB in Trevor Lawrence, and whilst he does have talent around him, he has no help from his HC, and while that’s the case, I just can’t see how they win a football game. Their defense does offer us an angle though as both Andrew Wingard and Shaquill Griffin, two players we’ve backed and won on before, are active tacklers for Jacksonville. Wingard has had 6 or more Tackles & Assists in every game this season, whilst Griffin has made 4 or more in every outing, yet the bookies keep setting their lines under these numbers!
Tennessee was upset by the Jets last week, in a defeat no one (except us) saw coming. The loss of A.J. Brown and Julio Jones for that game made a huge difference to what the offense was able to achieve, and whilst Jones will be missing again this week, the return of Brown is important for an offense that needs to find their mojo again. The Jaguars were torn apart by C.J. Uzomah on TNF and I expect Tennessee to get their TE Anthony Firkser into the game as much as possible and his U/O 2.5 receptions screams ‘take the over’ to me considering the opposition and the fact he’s had 3 receptions in both of his games so far this season.
