This Thanksgiving, the Dallas Cowboys welcome the Raiders to Jerry World. Can the .500 Raiders head back to Sin City with the win, or will Dak and his depleted cast of pass-catchers get the win at home?
These two teams both like to throw the football, both rank inside the top-5 for passing yards per game, but Dak will be without both Amari Cooper & CeeDee Lamb, so you have to wonder if the Cowboys will lean a little more on the rushing ability of Zeke Elliot more this week. Derek Carr and the Raiders have, of course, been a little subdued in recent weeks as the Jon Gruden / Henry Ruggs issues have, as expected, caused the offense to regress. But Carr has thrown for 261 or more yards in seven of his ten games this season, and I think it’s fair to expect him to try and light up a Cowboys secondary that ranks 20th in the NFL in passing yards per game allowed. Whilst this Dallas secondary allows QBs to put up yards on them, they do make plays on the football, ranking inside the top-10 for takeaway differential. Derek Carr has thrown 9 interceptions already this year, throwing at least one in each of his last 5 outings.
