Back to back TNF games at home for the 5-6 Saints as they host the 7-4, but without a win in their last two, Dallas Cowboys. New Orleans are trying a break a 4-game losing skid but will have to do so without Alvin Kamara, who is once again unavailable due to injury. Can Taysom Hill & Co get an upset win at home tonight, or will Dak and the Cowboys get back on track with a win in Louisiana?
There have been rumours that Zeke Elliot would potentially be rested to help his knee fully recover, but he’s been a full participant in practice this week, and the thinking is that whilst his explosiveness has suffered when carrying the ball, he’s been a vital and important part of the Cowboys’ passing game with three or more receptions in six straight games, including back to back six reception outings.
The Saints are winless in their last four games and missing some vital starters on the offensive side of the ball. Alvin Kamara headlines the absentees, but Linemen Ryan Ramczyk and Terron Armstead are just as important. Without them, it’s going to be interesting to see how New Orleans are able to protect Taysom Hill, who is expected to start at QB for the Jameis Winston-less Saints tonight.
