Two AFC contenders coming off of their bye week meet at the Lucas Oil Stadium for our first Saturday Night Football game of the 21/22 season. Can Mac Jones lead his Patriots team to an eighth straight win, or will Jonathan Taylor & Co get a much-needed win in their quest to reclaim the AFC South division?

The New England Patriots went into their bye week feeling pretty damn good about themselves one would assume. After winning the ‘Wind Tunnel’ game against Buffalo in Week 13 to stretch their winning record to eight and strengthen their grasp on the division, they also took the #1 seed in the Conference and will reclaim it with a win tonight. Rhamondre Stevenson will likely take the majority of the work in the running game as Damien Harris has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Stevenson has impressed during his rookie campaign, and whilst he has only had over 70 yards rushing just twice this year, one was in their last game, and the other was in his only start, in which he ended with 100 yards rushing & 2 TDs.

Indianapolis entered their bye week after a resounding 31-0 win over the hapless Houston Texans, which keeps their dreams of winning their division alive they’ll need to keep winning if they’re going to chase down the Titans though. Jonathan Taylor is making a case to be crowned the MVP of the league, the second-year ball-carrier has seven 100+ rushing yard games in his last ten appearances and has 18 TDs in the same period. This Patriots defense is revered, but their run defense has left something to be desired this season, ranking inside the bottom half for Rushing Yards Allowed per Game.
