Yeah, good luck Detroit.
The Lions somehow threw away a game they had no right losing against the Bears on Sunday and if you’re going to let Mitch Trubisky mount a 4th quarter comeback against you and think I’m going to back you to do anything to stop Aaron Rodgers than you’re a crazy person! In saying this though I am very aware that the Lions were only a DeAndre Swift dropped pass away from being 1-0 and a team that were in complete control for three quarters of the game, Adrian Peterson was rumbling on the ground for nearly 100 yards whilst 3 pass catchers went over 50 yards and 2nd year Tight End really stepped up with the team missing #1 Receiver Kenny Golladay. On defense they had kept the Bears to two field goals in the first half and pitched a 3rd quarter shut out only to throw the game away and if you’re buckling under a Trubisky lead comeback I’m very suspect they’ll be able to hold out against the G.O.A.T…
Talking of the goat, how ‘bout Aaron Rodgers! That was some vintage Rodgers we saw against the Vikings, making all the throws, every TD was an absolute PISS MISSILE (The third TD was a ridiculous throw) he’s making a statement out there after the Packers drafted Jordan Love in the first round and I’m here for it, If we’re getting the re-emergence of prime Aaron Rodgers then the Packers instantly become Super Bowl contenders. Wide Receiver Davante Adams had a huge game, hauling in 14 targets for 156 yards and 2 TD’s. (I’m worrying for this Lions Defense) Jaire Alexander is emerging as a top Cornerback in this league, he was one of my favourite CB prospects coming out of Louisville in 2018 and I think this’ll be the year he starts to get the national recognition he deserves, he was everywhere on Sunday coming up with an interception and a sack of Kirk Cousins for a Safety. This isn’ta particularly impressive Packer Defense but because of Rodgers and the Offense they don’t have to be.
The Packers are winning this game but there’s no value in that and the Lions have had a habit of late of keeping games with the Packers close (intra-divisional games can get like that due to the familiarity with each other that happens as they meet twice a year at least, every single year) so that 6.5 point spread doesn’t fill me with confidence either way so I’m going with the continuation of the Rodgers and Adams show at Lambeau Field.
