Forest have got off to a dreadful start to the new season following on from their heartbreaking finish just a number of weeks ago. In one of the greatest chokes seen, they missed out on the play offs by a solitary goal, conceded in the 95th minute of a 4-1 home defeat to stoke on the final day. They remain winless since the 1st July, this doesn’t inspire much confidence, however we move onto tonight’s opponents.
Huddersfield have only won twice in that same period of forests last win, and also opened up this campaign with two defeats. Their squad and management has somewhat regressed even further if that was possible. The Cowleys were to any sane person, shockingly relieved of their duties, they have been replaced by Marcelo Bielsa’s assistant Carlos Corberan. They have somehow managed to keep hold of Karlan Grant so far but if they are to lose him they look destined to another relegation to league 1.
Forest this week have added Harry Arter and Scott McKenna to their ranks along with other solid transfer business including Lyle Taylor, Luke Freeman and Cyrus Christie to just name a few. Their hangover from last season has to end soon otherwise surely Sabri Lamouchi will not last much longer following crunch talks in the summer. Forests squad is far superior to the Terriers and tonight at 13/8 I feel they represent value with their opponents contrasting squad.
Forest to win – 13/8 Betfair – 1 point win
