What a game we’ve got in store for SNF! Aaron Rodgers goes looking for his first ever win against the Saints at the Superdome whilst Brees looks to get his Saints back on track at home after losing in Vegas on MNF.
The Saints missed star receiver Michael Thomas in their loss to the Raiders but let me tell you that their biggest issue wasn’t the loss of Thomas but instead Drew Brees’ inability to get the ball down the field with any zip, this really limits Sean Payton’s ability to call plays that really test and stretch opposition defense’s and when the best part of your offense Is Sean Payton (he’d be the best part of any offense) it seems unwise to limit his play calling ability but there is no way they bench Brees for Winston so expect to see lots of Alvin Kamara in Thomas’ absence. On defense the Saints are nothing special and I expect them to be overmatched by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense.
Talking about the Packers offense and it’s looking increasingly likely that they’ll be without their star receiver Davante Adams but unlike the Saints their QB still has the ability to put the ball wherever he wants to! Rodgers is still one of the best QB’s in the league and can make all the throws but just as impressive through the first two weeks is RB Aaron Jones who DESTROYED the Lions in week 2 with a hattrick and over 230 all purpose yards. I expect the Packers defense to hold up better against the Saints offense than when those rolls are reversed.
This is a belter of a game and the homefield advantage is real for the Saints but the Packers look good and Rodgers looks pissed off and I’m taking a pissed off Aaron Rodgers over almost anyone! Give me the Packers to move to 3-0 in a real close one.
