CLEVELAND BROWNS @ DALLAS COWBOYS

The 2-1 Cleveland Browns head into Jerry World to take on the 1-2 Dallas Cowboys… wonder when was the last time these two teams met with the Browns boasting the better record?!

The Cowboys were put to the sword by the Seattle Seahawks who’re looking unstoppable on offense right now but this Cowboy offense is looking pretty strong in their own right, posting back-to-back games with at least 450 passing yards and over 30 points. The three-headed pass-catching attack seemingly grew a fourth one in week 3 as Cedrick Wilson Jr had himself a day catching 5 passes for 107 yards and 2 scores so good luck to Cleveland trying to cover the embarrassment of riches the Cowboys have in the receiving department with their beat-up secondary. On defense it’s not great for the Cowboys especially in the secondary where the loss of Chidobe Awuzie leaves them light in Corners who are able to cover. Aldon Smith is doing his best to win the Comeback Player of the Year award at the season’s end by dropping Russell Wilson three times to take his Sack number on the season to 4, so whilst this Cowboy pass D is one to target if Baker Mayfield takes too long to deliver a strike Smith will be there or thereabouts to bring him down.

The Browns have their first winning record in 5 years and hopefully, this can be a turning point for them where they start to live up to their potential but they have only played 1 team with a winning record after 3 weeks and that’s the Baltimore Ravens who destroyed the Browns in week 1 since then Cleveland has established their run game with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt looking fantastic as their 1-2 punch in the backfield this, in turn, has opened up the play-action pass game for Baker Mayfield which they’ll need to get going against this weak Cowboy pass defense if they’re going to be able to post enough points to keep up with Dak and that explosive Cowboy offense. On defense it’s a similar story to that of the Cowboys with a lot of talent up front but a little weak and injury-ravaged on the back end, whilst Cleveland rank middle of the pack in pass defense and allowed Lamar Jackson to throw for 275 and 3 TD’s and the week after gave Joe Burrow over 315 yards and 3 TD’s, neither time were they able to pick off either Jackson or Burrow which shows the lack of playmakers they have in the secondary right now.

Ultimately I cant take the Browns to beat the Cowboys in Dallas, for a start are you telling me that after week 4 in the NFL the Cowboys are going to be 1-3 and the Cleveland Browns 3-1 after walking into Jerry World and leaving with the W?! I just can’t see it and I also can’t see a way this Browns secondary can slow down the Cowboys offense enough to live with them on the scoreboard. Shy of Myles Garrett absolutely ruining the Cowboys offenses day and Nick Chubb taking enough time off the clock to limit Dak’s snaps I can’t see a way they do it. I like Amari Cooper to have himself a bit of a day, he’s faced the Browns twice before in his career going for over 100 yards on 8 receptions in both and this season has had more than 80 yards and no fewer than 6 receptions in all three games.

PREDICTION: COWBOYS 34 – 30 BROWNS

BEST BET: Amari Cooper over 81.5 receiving yards @ 5/6 with SkyBet. 1 point bet.

NEXT BEST: Amari Cooper over 5.5 receptions @ 4/6 with SkyBet . 1 point bet.
