The Falcons fire Dan Quinn and in their very next game bring home the W now that could be down to Quinn not being there or it be could be down to the return of a healthy Julio Jones, I’ll let you decide that but Julio was the focal point of this Falcon offense last week catching 8 of his 10 targets for 137 yards and 2 TD’s. The real story was the Falcon defense finally being able to step up to the plate and although giving up 3 TD’s and nearly 350 yards to Kirk Cousins most of these were in garbage time once the game was won, the Falcons kept the Vikings scoreless in the first half, gave up 16 of the 23 points they conceded in the 4th quarter and picked off Kirk Cousins three times so definitely a much improved performance from their early season games.

The Lions came off their bye week and picked up their second win of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars in which we witnessed the emergence of rookie DeAndre Swift how broke out with his first 100+ yard rushing game and also his first multiple TD game, I expected him to have more of a roll in the rushing game but this was a surprise even to me but the Lions will probably lean a little more on their passing game this week as although Atlanta improved in that area against the Vikings they’re still the bottom ranked team in the NFL against the pass which should be music to the ears of Kenny Gollady who’s coming off his first 100+ yard game of the year and also TJ Hockenson who’s coming off of back to back TD games and this Falcon pass d has already given up 7 TD’s to Tight Ends on the year.

These sides two sides aren’t too dissimilar both have offenses that can put points up and win games whilst its been the defensive side that have held them up and although the Lions defense is better and makes more plays than the Falcons one I cant help but feel this Falcon team is rejuvenated now Raheem Morris has taken control and do have the better offense and in a game I think will be a shoot out I’ll take them but from a betting perspective I’ve looked towards the Lions pass game, we’ve already spoken about Hockenson and I like him to score for the third game in a row here but for me DeAndre Swift’s O/U number in the Receiving market just seems a little low at 2.5, he’s only had one game under that number this entire season and after his breakout game I expect them to keep him involved in the offense, I’ll don’t think he’ll blow that number out of the water but I expected the line to be 3.5 so I’ll take the value for a Running Back who has already proven he can be a pass catching weapon.

BEST BET: DeAndre Swift over 2.5 receptions โ€“ 8/13 with SkyBet. 2 point bet.

NEXT BEST: TJ Hockenson anytime TD โ€“ 7/4 with SkyBet. 1 point bet.
