The NFC North winning Green Bay Packers welcome the four win Panthers to Title Town looking to secure their eleventh win of the season and keep up their fight to secure the bye week.

Green Bay put the Lions to the sword last week with another dominant performance from Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is in some of the best form of his career and is my pick for the NFL MVP award this season. Davante Adams is one of the top receivers in football and Aaron Jones is a more than serviceable RB but outside of those guys he doesn’t have much help yet still manages to put up nearly 300 yards and 3/4 TD’s every week as well as very rarely turning the ball over. The Defense is the weakness in this side, although they have sporadic talent within the unit it doesn’t make up for the lack of depth and uninspiring play calling.

The Carolina Panthers have been good in spurts this season but consistency has been an issue and with a new coaching staff in charge and missing their best player for a large majority of the season it’s fair to expect ups and downs in year 1. The defense have been okay against the pass and don’t often let up big plays (although I’m sure Rodgers will test just how sturdy that part of their game is) but they aren’t so sturdy against the run so it’ll be important for them to dial in on Aaron Jones and stopping him from beating them. The Offense is much improved this season under the guidance of Joe Brady but I’m not convinced Teddy Bridgewater is the answer at the QB position, they’ve given him a good set of WR’s with one of the best trio’s in the NFL but I see Teddy’s inability to test defenses deep as a burden on the offense.

Although something about this game is shouting ‘UPSET ALERT’ I can’t go as far as to pick the Panthers even though I think Joe Brady will have something nice dialled up for the Packers defense. As for my best bet we’re going to that Panther Defense and Linebacker, Jermaine Carter Jr, who’s Tackles & Assists line number is set at U/O 5.5 which is a number he’s gone over only once this season and we’ll take him to go under that number again today.

BEST BET: Jermaine Carter Jr UNDER 5.5 Tackles & Assists – 8/13 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.
