The 8-5 Ravens are fresh off winning the game of the year against the Browns and now welcome the one win Jags to town. Can Minshew motivate his Jags to a huge upset win or will the Ravens continue their march to the playoffs?

Baltimore defeated their divisional rival Browns 47-42 in an instant ‘defense optional’ classic with Lamar Jackson providing the game winning magic, after leaving the game in the fourth quarter with ‘cramps’ he then returned to throw a TD pass to Hollywood Brown and then lead the game winning drive. Jackson himself caused the Browns all sorts of problems on the ground with over 120 rushing yards and 2 TD’s for his part in a team effort of over 230 rushing yards and 5 rushing TD’s!

The Jags will look at that above stat line with trepidation I’d expect as they’re just fresh off giving up 215 rushing yards and 2 TD’s to one man. (although that one man is Derrick Henry, the NFL’s leading rusher) I expect them to struggle once again defending the run against the #1 ranked rush offense. Gardner Minshew is back under Center for the Jags in what is a huge upgrade at the QB position to what we’ve seen in recent weeks, although I don’t see that upgrade being enough to keep up with the Ravens.

I have to take the Ravens here, they’re the more talented team who’re coached better and have something to play for, whilst the Jags have had a fork in them for weeks. Ravens by 10.

My best bet’s link into the Ravens run game but maybe not in the way you’d expect. J.K Dobbins has been improving in recent weeks and certainly looks the best Running Back in this Ravens side but he’s yet to have more than 15 carries in a game this season so with his U/O Rushing Attempts number at 15.5, I’m taking the under in this committee running back approach the Ravens use. I also like the look of Willie Snead’s U/O Receptions number which is currently set at 2.5, Snead has gone over that total in each of the Ravens last 5 games and against the 31st ranked pass defense in the NFL I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t make it 6 here.

BEST BET: J.K. Dobbins UNDER 15.5 Rushing Attempts – 5/6 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.

NEXT BEST: Willie Snead OVER 2.5 Receptions – 5/4 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.
