SEATTLE SEAHAWKS @ WASHINGTON

The NFC East leading Washington Football Team welcome the Seattle Seahawks to the capital with both sides chasing a post season berth.

Seattle whooped the Jets last week in a game about as lopsided as you’ll see in the NFL with the Seahawks pulling Russell Wilson after he’d thrown for 4 TD passes as they romped to a 40-3 win. The defense has improved recently and that’s not including the game with the Jets who gave them zero trouble last week. It’s still the worst pass defense in football but they’re making improvements every week.

How about that Washington Defense?! Stifling all season but utterly dominant against the Niners last week, scoring both of the teams TD’s with Chase Young in particular being a real menace. The Offense was again uninspiring, failing to score a TD and the return of Dwayne Haskins did little to improve their offensive output. Rookie runner, Antonio Gibson is expected to miss another game with Turf Toe and he has become a pivotal piece in this Washington Offense and his absence makes a noticeable difference .

I really think this is an interesting matchup where strength v strength (Wash defense v Hawks offense) will be matched together as will two weaknesses (Hawks defense v Wash offense) I’ll take the Seahawks to win a close game as I think their steadily improving defense can keep Washington to a low enough score that Russ and the offense wont have to be at their 40+ point very best to get the win. Hawks in a close low scorer.

Best bet and we head over to the Washington offense and their two best pass catchers. Terry McLaurin has been off the boil in recent weeks having not gone over his 5.5 receptions line in his last two games but it’s worth stating that the two pass defenses they’ve played in the last two weeks are top 5 units whilst this Seahawks one is the leagues worst so I’m backing him for a bounce back game here. Secondly we like Logan Thomas, the big Tight End, to go over his 3.5 receptions line, something that he’s done in each of his last three games and in four of his last five.

PREDICTION: SEAHAWKS 24 -21 WASHINGTON

BEST BET: Logan Thomas OVER 3.5 Receptions – EVENS with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.

NEXT BEST: Terry McLaurin OVER 5.5 Receptions – EVENS with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.
