The 7-7 Raiders welcome the 9-5 Dolphins with both sides vying for a playoff spot, the Raiders know they have to win out and hope things go their way whilst the Dolphins currently occupy the 7th and final playoff place but will have to keep pace with the Ravens if they’re going to see the post season.

The Raiders lost in OT to the divisional rival, Chargers on TNF and that loss will more than likely cost them a post season berth, but they’ll relish the prospect of playing spoiler against a good Dolphins side here. Derek Carr is expected to start for the Raiders which is a surprise after coming off with a groin injury against the Chargers, in his stead Marcus Mariota played a fantastic game and the offense looked rejuvenated once he took over, and with his added danger in the run game he may be the Raiders best option in this game regardless of injuries. The defense are poor and lack playmakers but they matchup okay against this Dolphins offense which is far from elite.

Miami avenged their opening day loss to the Patriots last week, beating their long time tormentors 22-12. Miami can boast a top tier defense who get after the passer and take the ball away, Cornerback, Xavien Howard was recently selected to the Pro Bowl as a starter and leads the NFL in interceptions with 9. Tua struggled through the air against New England last week as he threw for 145 yards and an INT, but he did manage to get himself in for a couple of important scores on the ground, and the ground game was the driving factor last week with the team rushing for 250 yards and 3 TD’s, and the ground game might be the way forward against the Raiders poor run defense.

I’m going for the upset and taking the Raiders here, I think they match up quite well with Miami and I’m not completely convinced the Dolphins are for real. As for my best bets there’s a few that caught my eye, firstly is the U/O 3.5 receptions line for Nelson Agholor, he’s had a good season with the Raiders and has 4 or more receptions in five straight games. Secondly, and staying with the Raiders, we’re interested with Raekwon McMillan’s Tackles & Assists U/O which is set at 5.5, a number he’s yet to hit this season and although his snap count was a season high last week and with injuries he could see more playing time, but we haven’t see him do it this season and we want to see it before we believe it. Third and finally, we head to the Dolphins side of the ball and the return of Myles Gaskin who’s been injured for a few weeks but before that he was running the ball well and often with 13 or more carries in 5 of his last 6 games, and against this run defense I expect him to get enough of a workload to hit the over on his 12.5 line.

BEST BET: Myles Gaskin OVER 12.5 Rushing Attempts – 11/10 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.

NEXT BEST: Nelson Agholor OVER 3.5 Receptions – 5/6 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.

WE ALSO LIKE: Raekwon McMillan UNDER 5.5 Tackles & Assists – 4/6 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.
