The Jets got their first win of the season last week to avoid being only the third 0-16 team in NFL history, but at the same time may have thrown away their chances at genuine franchise QB in Trevor Lawrence. I can only imagine the Rams thought they’d walk through the Jets and were caught napping, but let’s make no mistake, they’re not a good football team.
Cleveland are a 10 win football team and in a playoff place at the moment, but will be looking over their shoulder at the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins knowing that three doesn’t fit into two. The Browns want to run the ball, we all know that, but that does play into the defensive strength of the Jets, so I expect to see a lot of the Play Action pass game from Baker Mayfield to keep the Jets honest before feeding Nick Chubb on the ground.
I can’t take the Jets here, they beat one playoff team last week, surely they’re not going to beat another this?! The Browns are just better and have something to play for. Because of the Jets win last week the spread has come down to one score, but it’s important to remember this is a 10 win team against a 1 win team and although the Browns will be light at WR after a Covid outbreak, I still think they have enough to beat the Jets with ease. Give me the Browns – 7.
PREDICTION: BROWNS 23 – 7 JETS
