AFC West matchup as the Broncos travel to LA with neither side having much to play for although these are two coaches who could be on the hot seat.
Denver were destroyed by the Buffalo Bills last Saturday as their defense was torn up by Josh Allen and the offense struggled to move the ball against an improved Bills unit. Drew Lock continued his Jekyll and Hyde act as just a week after tearing up the Panthers he was kept mostly in check by Buffalo, throwing for a measly 132 yards and 1 TD and losing a forced fumble which was returned for a TD. The Denver defense isn’t as bad they were made to look last Saturday but have had some trouble with injuries, especially in the secondary.
Justin Herbert and the Chargers got a big OT win over fellow divisional rivals the Raiders last week as Herbert threw for over 300 yards and two TD’s against a poor Raider defense. The Chargers have been unlucky in a lot of games this season and their first matchup with the Broncos is a prime example of this as they lost by a point even though they entered the fourth quarter with a 14 point lead!
I think the Chargers are the better side with the more talented QB and I like them to avenge that loss earlier in the season to the Broncos. As for my best bet I like Justin Herbert’s chances of going over 24.5 pass completions, he’s had over 25 in 7 of his last 9 contests and had 29 in the last meeting with the Broncos.
PREDICTION: CHARGERS 30 β 24 BRONCOS
BEST BET: Justin Herbert OVER 24.5 Pass Completions β 5/6 with SkyBet. 1 point bet.
