Nothing much to play for here as the home side Bucs have already secured their playoff spot whilst the travelling Falcons are well out of the playoff hunt.
Tampa will be without stud Defensive starters Devin White and Shaq Barrett after the Linebackers were added to the COVID-19 list on Frida, whilst Cornerback Carlton Davis looks like he’ll miss a second straight game meaning it’ll be a under strength defense seeing out the regular season. The offense has looked very impressive since their week 13 bye with Tom Brady seemingly finding form at the perfect time and with Mike Evans, Antonio Brown, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski and the 1-2 punch Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette give the offense as well as a #1 ranked run defense, this is a team no one want to see in the post season.
Atlanta will once again be without stud pass catcher Julio Jones who has been limited to only 9 games this season, and with him turning 32 before the start of next season it’s a wonder if he’ll still be on the Falcons roster next season. Matt Ryan has had to turn to Calvin Ridley for the majority of the season and the wideout has reacted well to the challenge of being a #1 in this offense, and I expect it’ll be Ridley who’s relied on if the Falcons are going to pull off an upset win here.
I think the Bucs are getting hot at the right time and I can’t imagine they’ll want to slow their momentum by taking their foot off the gas against a below average Falcons defense. Give me the Bucs and give me them big, and talking of big we’re going with Mike Evans as our best bet, the big bodied pass catcher is the Bucs leading TD scorer this season and has scored in every home game against the Falcons so far in his career.
PREDICTION: BUCCANEERS 50 – 24 FALCONS
BEST BET: Mike Evans ANYTIME TD – 5/4 with UNIBET. 0.5 point bet.
