Not many people would’ve told you to bet the Texans in Week 1, but we did, and if you listened, you were in the money as they easily dispatched the Jaguars. The Browns had a harder assignment, as they were tasked with walking into Arrowhead and defeating the back-to-back AFC Champion, Chiefs. Ultimately, they came up just short in a great game and will be looking to get off the mark at home in a game they’re heavily favoured to win.

Cleveland followed a similar script to the one I predicted in last week’s game write up, and the game played out similarly to how we thought it would. The Browns ran the ball dominantly, and are probably the premier run offense in the NFL, and they shouldn’t have too much of a problem running on a Texans team that lacks difference-makers on the defensive line. I expect to see more of what we witnessed against the Chiefs, establish the run and then look to hit a receiver for a big gain off play-action. it’s a simple but effective game plan.

Tyrod Taylor made Houston Texans fans forget the name Deshaun Watson last week with a great performance to lead his team to a Week 1 dub. I have a feeling that the Browns might pose bigger problems than the Jags did, I feel like Houston can put some points up if they can keep Myles Garrett away from Tyrod Taylor regularly, but how this Texans defense is supposed to stop the Browns from putting points on the board is beyond me. On the defensive side of the ball and Charles Omenihu’s Tackles & Assists, O/U line has caught my eye. The defensive lineman played 65% of Houston’s defensive snaps in Week 1 mustering 2 combined T&A’s, which is similar production to his 2020 campaign, infact Omenihu only made 3 or more combined T&A’s in 2 of 15 games last season! At even money to hit the under on 2.5 T&A’s I feel like we’re being given the price for a line that should be 1.5!

Spread; Browns +13

Total Match Points line: O/U 48.0

Game Prediction: Browns 37 – 23 Texans

Best Bet: Charles Omenihu under 2.5 Tackles & Assists @ 5/4 Bet 365 (0.5)
