Two teams who got off to winning starts in Week 1 meet in Philly with their eyes firmly set on a 2-0 start. Will the Eagles pull off an upset in back-to-back weeks to stay unbeaten or will the Niners show that their almost collapse against Detroit was just complacency and not a sign of things to come.

San Francisco looked like a top, top team early on in their win over Detroit in Week 1, but the lack of concentration that allowed the Lions back into the game and almost gave them a shot at winning a game they really had no right being in. I’m sure Kyle Shanahan will have drummed it into his side that no game is ever won until it’s done in the NFL, this week and they’ll need that mentality as they take on a game Eagles side.

Philadelphia were somehow underdogs in their opening day win over the seemingly hapless Falcons, but that soon proved to be a huge mistake from the bookmakers, as Philly took control of the game early and never looked like allowing Atlanta back into the game. Rookie WR, DeVonta Smith was exceptional in his NFL debut as he caught 6 balls for 71 yards and a TD. We told you last week that the Eagles would win the game and Smith would breeze past his U/O 3.5 receptions total, well, we won’t go as far as telling you the Eagles will win this one (although, they might!) but the bookies are again giving us that 3.5 receptions total and we have to oblige them! He’s the clearcut WR1 on this offense, and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t see a target share the same or greater in this game, and with that opportunity share I’m going to keep banging the table for the over whenever we’re given that 3.5 point line.

Spread: 49ers +2.0

Total Match Points line: U/O 49.0
