NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS @ NEW YORK JETS

Another all AFC East clash as the 0-1 Patriots make the short trip to New Jersey to take on the 0-1 Jets.

The Jets put up a fight in Carolina but ultimately fell to the Panthers and former Jets QB Sam Darnold. Zach Wilson looked good in the loss though and was arguably the most impressive of the 5 first-round QBs who played in some capacity during Week 1. Wilson and the offense will likely find this Patriots defense a hard nut to crack as Bill Belichick defense’s very rarely fall to rookie QBs.

The Patriots were probably the better team in their Week 1 loss to Miami and probably would’ve punched the ball in to take the lead in the 4th quarter if Damien Harris hadn’t lost a fumble as the Patriots were knocking on the door. Mac Jones looked solid in his first start against a good Dolphins defense and should look better today against a lesser Jets D. Ultimately I see this game being won by the Patriots defense, this unit is one of the best in Football and probably the best coached in NFL too, and I like one of their newest acquisitions to cash in for us in this one. Matt Judon made 4 T&A’s in his Patriot debut, which isn’t surprising seeing as he went over that number in 11 of 12 games for the Ravens last year in which he played 50% of more of the defensive snaps. So after being on the field for 89% of the Patriots defensive snaps in Week 1 and now facing a Jets offense that struggled on the O-Line against Carolina, I like him to hit the over on his U/O 2.5 T&A’s line.

Spread: Patriots -6

Total Match Points line: U/O 43.0

Game Prediction: Patriots 24 – 13 Jets

Best Bet: Matt Judon over 2.5 Tackles & Assists @ 8/15 with SkyBet. [1]
