NEW YORK JETS @ DENVER BRONCOS

The 0-2 Jets travel to Colorado to face the 2-0 Denver Broncos. Can Zach Wilson and co deal with the altitude and hand Denver their first loss of the year or will the Broncos ride home advantage to a win and move to 3-0?

Zach Wilson had a miserable second start as an NFL QB against the Patriots, throwing 4 INTs on their way to a big loss to their divisional rivals. A Belichick defense is a notoriously difficult one for rookie QB’s to navigate and that proved the case for Wilson, but life doesn’t get any easier for the young passer as he’ll be up against a Vic Fangio coached, Broncos defense that just gave Trevor Lawrence nightmares. It’ll be smart to utilise the underneath passing game and use that to open up the deep passing attack, involving pass-catching rookie RB Michael Carter has been something the Jets have done through two weeks and would make sense to do again here. Carter has 14+ receiving yards in both games this season so his U/O 10.5 receiving yards line is definitely playable against a Broncos defense that gave up 17 yards through the air to James Robinson last week.

Denver impressed as they beat the hapless Jaguars in Week 2. Teddy Bridgewater has really taken the shackles off as the Broncos QB, he’s airing the ball out a lot more than we’ve ever seen him do previously in his career and it’s benefitting not only himself but his team too. Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant get all the attention as pass-catchers now Jerry Jeudy is out injured but for me, it’s second-year TE Albert Okwuegbunam. The big-bodied pass-catcher has been a lot more involved this season than he was last, Albert O has caught 100% of his targets this season and they’ve increased from Week 1 to Week 2. His U/O receptions line is set at 1.5, he’s had at least double that in both games this season and should be utilised similarly to how he has been previously this year again here.

Spread: Jets +10.0
