Game of the week in this all AFC clash between two 2020 division winners. The Chiefs are fresh off a big win over WFT in Week 6, whilst Tennessee won a back and forth MNF thriller with the Buffalo Bills a week after the Bills beat the Chiefs by 18! Will Mahomes get his Chiefs side above .500 for the first time since Week 1, or will Derrick Henry continue his MVP worthy form and run the Titans to another win?
Tennessee notched a huge win on MNF as they outlasted the much-fancied Buffalo Bills. Derrick Henry once again surpassed 100 yards on the ground and had his third(!!) three TD game of the season. Henry already has 10 TDs and is carrying this Titans team on his rather sizeable shoulders. The defense is a beaten up unit, and although improved in the win over Buffalo, they still gave up over 30+ points for the third time in six games. Harold Landry had a great game against the Bills and has been on a hot streak recently, posting 7 or more combined tackles & assists in three straight games and in 4 of 6 this year.
The Kansas City Chiefs bounced back from their SNF defeat to the Buffalo Bills with a dominant second-half performance in a win over WFT. Mahomes looked more like himself in the 2nd half of that game and reminded the rest of the NFL that he’s still the best player in the league.
Mahomes has 330 or more passing yards in three of six games and had a season-high 397 against Washington, whilst the Titans are fresh off allowing a season-high 353 yards through the air to Josh Allen. We all know Mahomes likes to get the ball to Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill, but Byron Pringle has quietly but consistently been catching 2+ passes a game since Week 2 and had a season-high 3 receptions last week, yet his U/O receptions line stays at 1.5.
Spread: Chiefs -4.5
Total Match Points line: U/O 57.5
