NEW ORLEANS SAINTS @ SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

The 2-4 Seahawks are at home in front of the “12’s” and taking on the 3-2 Saints in a game that already feels like a must win.

Geno Smith got off to a losing start as the starting QB for Seattle in place of the injured Russell Wilson. Geno played reasonably well in the SNF tilt against the Steelers, but coughed up a costly fumble as the Seahawks lost in OT. Jamal Adams has been his usual self so far this season. Useless in coverage, but a hell of a box safety, Adams has 6 or more combined Tackles & Assists in five of six games this season and should have plenty to do once again in this one.

The Saints are coming off of their early bye week and will be buoyed by the opportunity to face a Wilson-less Seahawks side. Jameis Winston threw for 279 yards and 4 TDs In the Saints Week 5 win over Washington, and is starting to come into his own a little with back to back 220+ passing yard games. Seattle have only managed to keep one QB they’ve faced this year to under 200 passing yards and that was Jimmy Garoppolo, who’s had three sub 200 passing yard games in his five appearances.

Seattle’s inability to pressure QB’s is the primary reason that they’re giving up so many yards through the air, and against a passer like Winston who likes to take his time in the pocket pressure is key to keeping him off his game. I like the Saints to win this one coming off their bye, and I like Winston to have his best game passing the football of the season.
