The 5-3 Bills travel to New Jersey looking for significant improvement after an embarrassing loss to the Jaguars last week. Josh Allen was lacklustre in the loss as he failed to register a TD and managed to turn the ball over on three occasions. The play of the O-Line must improve if this Bills team are to live up to their pre-season moniker as Super Bowl contenders. The Buffalo defense is arguably the NFL’s best, leading the league in lowest points allowed per game, lowest passing yards allowed per game and turnover differential. I don’t expect them to give up a ton of points here.
The Jets look like a different team since Zach Wilson’s been injured. Mike White took the rookie passer’s place in the shock win over the Bengals. White left the TNF game against the Colts with an injury, but not before throwing a TD pass to Elijah Moore. The rookie pass-catcher has impressed in recent outings, culminating in a 7/84/2 stat line against Indianapolis.
For our best bet in this game we like Bills QB Josh Allen to find pay dirt. The big-bodied passer has run in for 3 TDs this season, and against a bottom 5 team in run defense he should have an opportunity to score with his legs once again here.
