An important clash in the AFC North as the 6-4 Bengals host the 5-4-1 Steelers. Cincinnati has the chance to sweep Pittsburgh for the first time since 2009, will Joe Burrow pull off another win over a talented Steeler defense, or will Big Ben get the win in what could be his last appearance in his home state?
Cincy picked up a much-needed win last week after suffering back to back losses. Joe Mixon led the way with 30 carries for over 120 yards and 2 TDs, in the win over the Raiders. Mixon had a successful day in the first meeting between these two sides with 90 yards on 18 carries, it was the third time in the last four games Mixon has played vs Pittsburgh in which he surpassed 75 rushing yards.
The Steelers are winless in their last two contests and could be all but out of the AFC post-season race with a second loss to their divisional rivals here. Diontae Johnson is the target hog in this offense, with double-digit targets in seven of his nine games this season. Johnson has back to back games with 7 receptions and has surpassed 75 receiving yards in three of his last four outings.
Mixon will be up against a Steelers run defense that ranks 26th in the NFL for rushing yards allowed per game, whilst Johnson will line up across from a Bengals secondary ranking 25th in passing yards allowed per game. These are positive looks for both players, and I expect them to be busy on Sunday.
Spread: Bengals -3.5
