CINCINNATI BENGALS @ BALTIMORE RAVENS

AFC North rivals square off in Baltimore as the 3-1 Ravens host the 1-3 Bengals.

The Ravens bounced back from their first loss of the season by beating Washington in week 4 with Lamar Jackson bouncing back with a solid performance through the air and on the ground where he added a rushing TD to his two passing scores but ultimately this wasn’t a game where the Ravens were particularly challenged but yet still managed to give up over 300 yards to the now 3rd string Dwayne Haskins and although a lot of those yards came once the Ravens already had the game won it must be at least a little worrying with Joe Burrow and the pass happy Bengals coming to town.

The Bengals picked up their first win of the season in week 4 seeing off the Jacksonville Jaguars off the back of a great performance from Joe Mixon, the Running Back helping himself to a 181 total yards and a hattrick but this Ravens Defense plays the run hard, only giving up a total of 69 (nice) yards on the ground against Washington last week so to the air you say and Joe Burrow has had no issue airing it out so far in his young NFL career throwing for over 300 yards in every game apart from the opener and although this Raven defense gave up over 300 passing yards last week their ability to get to the passer is no joke, they have 9 Sacks on the year and dial up the Blitz on 44.4% of defensive snaps which ranks 2nd in the NFL through four weeks, Joe Burrow has already been Sacked 15 times so will probably be seeing some dirt here. On Defense although they’re giving up points the Bengal Pass D is actually looking okay and playing some good football but against ground attacks it’s a different story entirely as on the year they’ve given up an average of 4.9 yards per carry and 158.5 yards per game and that does not bode well for them as running is what the Ravens do best and on the year have averaged 5.4 yards per carry and 160.8 rushing yards per game.

The Bengals had given up at least one rushing TD in every game until they held the Jags to only passing scores last week and have given up 5 on the year and I think they’ll give up another one today, Lamar Jackson is unbeaten as a starter against the Bengals and has 2 rushing TD’s in games as a starter against them and I think he’ll pick himself up one here too.
