The winless Falcons travel to Minnesota without Dan Quinn, the former HC was relieved of his duties after the defeat to Carolina, Defensive Co-Ordinator Raheem Morris will serve as HC and he’ll be hoping to see some improvement from his unit as the Falcons Defense, although beat up, has been awful through the first five weeks of the season especially in the secondary where they allow the second most yards per game in the League. The Offense which was firing to start the season has regressed quite dramatically, the Offense has posted just 16 points in both of their last two outings and Matt Ryan has failed to throw for a TD in both of these games, if the Offense can’t bail out the Defense with 30+ points then I struggle to see how they can win games but we should see the return of Julio Jones this week which will make Matt Ryan’s life easier and the Vikings’ secondary’s dramatically harder.

The Vikings took a bad beat in Seattle against the unbeaten ‘Hawks last week, running the ball on 4th down to ice the game instead of kicking the FG and they come up short and then gave up a length of the field TD drive in the rain with less than 2 mins to play to lose the game, as I said, bad beat. They are an Offense that can put up points having posted 30 or more in 3 of 5 games so far this year but are missing their best Offensive piece in Dalvin Cook so Alexander Mattison will take over the backfield and is more than capable of handling the work load.

It seems the bookies have everything in line for this game and it’s been tough to find value in the markets, I thought we’d get Alexander Mattison to score a TD at a decent price as he’s the back up but even that’s 4/11 so I’m going to take the Vikings to win the game and make that my best bet too, the return of Julio Jones means Atlanta could get that Offense rolling again and make it a shoot out but give me the team who already have a 1 in the win column and pushed arguably the best team in Football very close last week.
