The Ravens are coming off of a dominant win over the Bengals and will look to continue the defensive dominance we witnessed in that game again here, against the Bengals the Ravens D kept Joe Burrow scoreless, under 185 yards through the air and managed to pick him off and this impressive showing from the secondary was set up by the boys up front who hardly gave Burrow a second Sacking him 7 times and racking up 15 QB hits which should have Carson Wentz worried as he was Sacked 5 times by the Steelers pash rush and hit 11 times, Wentz has been Sacked 19 times through 5 weeks and I can only see the Ravens adding to that number. Lamar Jackson has yet to show us the form that won him MVP last year but the Ravens run the ball so well it hasn’t really made too much of a difference and if he continues to look after the football 9 TD’s vs only 2 INT’s they should win a lot more than they lose and talking of the run game it averages over 160 yards per game average which is good enough to rank 3rd in the NFL.
The Eagles put up a bit of a fight last week against the Steelers but never really looked like winning, Wentz was again underwhelming throwing 2 INT’s to take his season tally to 9 and has thrown at least 1 INT in every game this season so this ballhawking secondary should be licking their lips at the chance to face the careless passer. On the ground and Miles Sanders has been solid since coming back from injury and picked up a couple of scores last week but outside of one big run was otherwise held in check and I expect it’ll be a similar story today as this Raven front is a top 5 unit against the run allowing under 95 yards per game on average, this Offense will have to play out of their skin to consistently put points on the Ravens but they may have a way of troubling the Ravens and that’s through their pass rush, Philly have 18 Sacks on the season which is a top 3 number in the NFL and Jackson has found himself Sacked 12 times already so I’m expecting to see QB’s on the floor everywhere in this one and Philly will need to hit Lamar Jackson as their pass Defense is a sieve and they seem to have a real blind spot when it comes to covering TE’s and big bodies pass catchers so Mark Andrews should have himself a pretty good day here.
