Battle of the two suckiest teams in the suckiest division in the NFL as the 1 win Washington Football Team travel to New Jersey to take on the winless Giants.
The story of last week was Alex Smith’s return to action after almost 2 years spend recovering from a compound fracture in his right leg, how he’s been able to get back on an NFL field is nothing short of a miracle and although he won’t start if Kyle Allen is fit there’s always a chance we could see him again as this Washington O-Line is giving up Sacks for fun, 21 on the year including 8 last week against the Rams and if they can’t plug the leaks this week a Giants D which has sacked the QB 12 times already this season should add a few to that total but the same can be said the other way as Daniel Jones has found himself Sacked 16 times this year and up against a Washington side who’s speciality on D is getting after the passer and have 15 Sacks to show for it so this might just come down to who can protect their passer better, the problem the Giants have is if they don’t protect Jones and he gets hit he’s likely to fumble the ball and has lost 3 of them already this year but if they protect him he’s more likely to throw an INT than a TD, he has 2 TD’s and 5 INT’s on the year and those two TD’s came in week 1! Jones hasn’t thrown a Touchdown in 4 consecutive games including against a Dallas pass Defense that every other QB has torched and of the 9 turnovers the Giants have lost on the year Daniel Jones has been responsible for 8 of them! Surely it can’t be long until he’s benched.
Both of these offenses suck whilst both defenses are respectable but I think this Washington D can be game winners and against a QB who seemingly offers up the ball on a silver platter to defenses I’m going to take them to get the job done.
