Are we witnessing the demise of this Patriot legacy? Unable to beat a beat up Broncos side at home and even more worrying was their inability to get the ball moving through the air, the Patriots have had one impressive passing game all season and that was against a porous Seattle secondary and although I don’t expect this pass offense to turn into the Chiefs I do expect them to have an upturn in form against a Niners Defense who have conceded a pass TD in every game they’ve played so far this season.

The Niners are 3-3 and are probably fortunate to even be .500 on the season with the amount of injuries and bad luck they’ve had and tonight will be a big test for them as the Patriots don’t very often lose back to back games let alone back to back home games. The Niners like to run the ball on offense but the loss of Raheem Mostert is yet another big loss for the Niners and they face an uphill battle already in that department as the Patriots haven’t conceded a rushing TD since week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.

With both sides preferring to run the ball than pass it and with both D’s playing the run better than the pass I don’t see many points in this one so I’m taking the Under in match points. As for who I think is going to win the game I’m going to take the Patriots in a close one, I don’t think they’re a good football team right now but Belichick losing back to back home games? I’ll have to see it before I believe it.
