Well how was that for a turn up for the books?! The Vikings ran Dalvin up up and through the Green Bay Packers on their way to an upset win and will welcome another divisional foe in the Detroit Lions to Minneapolis looking to go back to back for the first time this season. Detroit’s two game winning run came to an end last week against the Colts but they’ll be hoping to get back on track and back to .500 at 4-4 with a win here.
Minnesota seem to have realised the the more they can lean on Dalvin Cook the less they have to rely on Kirk Cousins to throw the ball to win games and that gives them their best chance, the more like the Titans the Vikings are able to play on Offense the more dangerous they are, although the Lions aren’t awful against the run they have given up multiple TD games to Running Backs in 4 of their games this season whilst Dalvin Cook has 11 TD’s in just 6 games this year and has 4 in 5 career games against the Lions.
The Vikings issue all year has been their inability to stop anyone throwing on them but found some life in keeping the Packers to only 22 points last week although they did give up 3 TD’s through the air which is the same number Matt Stafford threw for last week but he will be without his primary receiver, Kenny Golladay in this one which should make the lives of the Vikings secondary players a little easier.
