Week 10 cannot have come quickly enough for Brady and the Bucs after their decimation at the hands of the Saints on SNF (The second time this season Brees and his Saints have marched all over Brady and the Bucs) their previously impressive pass defense were thrown all over allowing Drew Brees to put up 4 TD’s although the blame has to be laid at the feet of Brady and the Offense who could only muster 3 points and those didn’t come until the 4th quarter of a game they were already 38 points down in and Brady threw up 3 INT’s a couple of which were absolutely horrendous and if his predecessor Jameis Winston would’ve thrown the same INT’s there would be 100’s of memes and ridicule from media and fans alike but Brady gets a pass because well, he’s Tom Brady. It appears that the New Orleans Saints are Brady’s kryptonite this season, of the 7 INT’s he has thrown this season 5 of them have been against the Saints as well as two of the Bucs three losses, so for the second time this season the Bucs are looking to bounce back against the Panthers after a big loss to the Saints.

The Panthers have gone from a surprising 3-2 to the 3-6 that was closer to what we expected after losing their last 4 games although with each loss being by 1 score or less (1-8 points) they’ve managed to keep each game close and competitive and with the return of Christian McCaffrey last week were just inches away from knocking off the Chiefs and CMC picked up another injury on his return which is expected to rule him out for this game with the Bucs and instead the bell cow duties will once again be given to Mike Davis who has done a good job in McCaffrey’s absence but this might not be the game for him to impress in as the Bucs boast one of the best run stuffing units in all of Football which leads us on nicely to the Carolina pass game, Joe Brady has been picking up the plaudits as the first year OC has Teddy Bridgewater playing above expectations and will surely have some ‘Buc Beaters’ in his playbook after playing them once already this season and seeing the Saints performance on Sunday night. The first fixture between the two sides saw Panthers receivers DJ Moore and Robby Anderson having season high receptions and is the only game this season where both have recorded 5+ receptions in the same game and because of that I think DJ Moore could be a play at Over 4.5 receptions at even money with SkyBet but remember that he’s only recorded 5 or more receptions in a game just twice this season so its a cautious play.

My best bet instead lies with the Bucs new boy Antonio Brown who in his first start with his new team hauled in 3 of 5 targets and is a Brady favourite after Tom pushed for him to be signed by both New England and now in Tampa so I’d expect him to see a steady flow of targets and interestingly AB has played the Panthers 3 times in his career managing 3 TD’s including 2 in his only game in Carolina. I don’t imagine we’ll be getting 2/1 on an AB TD for much longer so we’ll take it whilst we can.

BEST BET: Antonio Brown anytime TD โ€“ 2/1 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.
