CLEVELAND BROWNS @ TENNESSEE TITANS

Game of the early slate here as two 8-3 teams who love to run the ball meet in Jack Daniels country.

The Titans destroyed their divisional rival Colts last week to take sole lead atop the AFC South and Derrick Henry was once again the main man for the Titans running all over Indianapolis for 178 yards and 3 TD’s as Tennessee put 45 points on a top 10 Colts defense. This was the third game in a row with over 100 rushing yards for Henry and his 7th of the season (including a 200+ yard rushing effort against Houston earlier in the season) and will be relishing the opportunity to go against a Browns defense which just allowed the Jaguars James Robinson to pop off for nearly 130 yards on the ground. The Titans will be without Tight End Jonnu Smith who have been one of the better players at his position all season and this should see an upswing in targets for both AJ Brown and Corey Davis but ultimately the offense is on Derrick Henry’s back.

The Browns made hard work of a one win football team last week but eventually had too much for the Jags seeing them off 27-23 and have now won 3 straight since coming off their bye week and that has coincided with the return from injury of Nick Chubb who himself has 3 straight games with over 100 yards rushing and and similarly to Henry is the focal point of his sides offense and up against a Titans defense which rank below average against the run I expect him to again have success on the ground.

These are two old school football teams who not only run the ball often but run the ball well and can each boast one of the leagues best Running Backs and with them both coming into the game in fine form I’m going to take SkyBet’s 11/2 price boost for both players to rush for 100+ yards.

As for who I think wins the game I’m leaning towards the Titans but I have this down as a tightly contested 1 point win.

PREDICTION: TITANS 28 โ€“ 27 BROWNS

BEST BET: Derrick Henry & Nick Chubb to have 100+ rushing yards. 11/2 with SkyBet. 0.5 point bet.
