The Andy Dalton Bowl as the Red Rifle brings his Cowboys side to Cincinnati to face the 2-9-1 Bengals. Dalton won’t get the opportunity to go against his successor as Joe Burrow is out for the season but can he keep his current teams slim playoff hopes alive and get the win on his return to Cincy?

The Bengals were feisty but outclassed against the Dolphins on Sunday as they could only muster 7 points against a stubborn and talented defense but this also marked the fourth game in a row the Bengals have failed to score 20 points. This Dallas defense offers them a great opportunity to snap that run but they will once again be without Joe Mixon who would’ve relished going up against the leagues worst run defense, instead it’ll be Giovanni Bernard who totes the rock for the Bengals but he’s a big downgrade from Mixon.

Dallas were always in the game against the Ravens on Tuesday night without ever looking like really winning the game and the main reason for that is their complete inability to stop the run, Baltimore could’ve ran the ball every play and it would’ve been a successful game plan. A bonus for the Cowboys is the potential for Zeke Elliot to regain some confidence after a difficult year, Zeke played pretty well against the Ravens but has been far from his best all season and will welcome the opportunity to play one of the leagues worst run D’s.

I’m taking Andy Dalton and the Cowboys on the road here. I don’t think the Bengals can take advantage of this poor Dallas defense without Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon and with Dalton becoming more comfortable in this Cowboy offense I don’t think the Bengals offer enough on defense to stop the Red Rifle putting his former side to the sword.

For my best bet we like the look of Dallas’ rookie pass catcher CeeDee Lamb who has 4 or more receptions in 12 of his 13 games so far as a pro, so with his line being set at U/O 3.5 when we think it should be 4.5 means value.. and we like value.

BEST BET: CeeDee Lamb OVER 3.5 receptions โ€“ 4/7 with SkyBet. 1 point bet.
