Week 4 wraps up with a AFC West clash in LA as the 2-1 Chargers welcome the unbeaten Raiders to SoFi stadium. Can the Raiders stay unbeaten and claim sole place atop the division or will the Chargers beat another divisional rival after upsetting the Chiefs last week?

The Raiders are unbeaten and flying high after knocking off another conference foe in the Dolphins last week. You have to wonder how two OT games in three weeks is going to affect the Raiders though, It’s a long season and OT games only make it longer! Derek Carr is in early season MVP form after his performances in the first three weeks won him the AFC Offensive player of the month award, but he’ll be up against a good Chargers defense that have yet to give up more than 260 passing yards in a game and have faced Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes! Hunter Renfrow has really emerged as one of Derek Carr’s favourite targets and when you watch his route running it’s easy to see why the undersized slot receiver has been so involved in the offense, his ability to get open is why he’s had at least 5 receptions in all three games this year. On the defense It’s a different story, and whilst the unit has improved from last year, with the play of Maxx Crosby being the main reason why, they’re still not a top tier defense, especially in the secondary. The play of linebacker Denzel Perryman at least gives the team a dominant and willing tackler against the run and short passing game, the former Charger has double-digit combined tackles & assists in every game so far in 2021.

Justin Herbert and the Chargers were fantastic as they beat the always fancied Chiefs at Arrowhead last week. Big Mike Williams was again the focal point of the Charger passing attack as he hauled in 7 of 9 targets for 122 yards and 2TDs. Big Mike has at least 7 receptions and 80 yards in all three games this year and has scored at least one TD a game as well. With weapons like Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler to pair with Williams and a QB in Herbert who is already one of the NFL’s best, this is a Charger offense that takes a lot of stopping! The defense so porous under Anthony Lynn in 2020 is a much improved unit in 2021 under the guidance of HC Brandon Staley. The addition of Asante Samuel Jr and return of Derwin James makes this a far better secondary than we saw last year, and Samuel Jr has already shown his playmaking ability with two interceptions in the last two weeks.

For our best bet we have got a mix of Mike Williams, Hunter Renfrow & Denzel Perryman. Big Mike to score another TD and hit the over on his U/O 5.5 receptions line, Hunter Renfrow to keep up his impressive start to the year and catch 5 or more passes as he’s done in each game this season, and big-hitting Denzel Perryman to hit the over on his U/O 8.5 tackles & assists line against his former team.

Spread: Chargers -1.5

Total Match Points line: U/O 51.5

Game Prediction: Chargers 30-24 Raiders

Best Bet: Mike Williams to score anytime and over 5.5 receptions, Hunter Renfrow over 4.5 receptions & Denzel Perryman over 8.5 tackles & assists @ 15/2 with Bet365 Bet Builder. [0.50]
