Important game in the NFC as the 5-1 Cowboys head to Minneapolis to face off with the .500 Vikings. Can Dallas keep up their winning momentum after their bye week, or will Kirk Cousins lift his Vikings side to a 4-3 record heading into Week 9?
Dak Prescott will be a game-time decision for the Cowboys, and obviously, his availability will play a major role in deciding the outcome of this SNF matchup. With us not knowing if he’ll suit up, we can’t make any calls regarding this Dallas offense. The Cowboys defense is a playmaking unit, and we all know Trevon Diggs has 7 Interceptions in only 6 games this season, but picking off Kirk Cousins isn’t an easy feat.
Minnesota will have a fantastic opportunity to move above .500 if they face a Prescott-less Cowboys side. Dalvin Cook will be the focal point of the Vikings offense as usual, and the talented ball-carrier has 20+ rushing attempts in three of his four appearances this season and in every game where he’s been on the field for over 50% of the offensive snaps. K.J. Osborn has been an important part of the passing game, with three or more receptions in five of six games this season.
If Dak is ready to go and unhindered, I’d expect the Cowboys to win a close one, but with he still being questionable before game time, I’m going to go with the Vikings to squeak out a win in a close one.
