The 3-4 Broncos welcome the 2-5 WFT to Mile High as they look to get back on track and not turn their 4-game skid into a 5-game one. Washington are in a similar position and will want to cap their losing streak at 3 games. Can Teddy Bridgewater get the Broncos back on track, or will Washington head home with their third win of the year?
Washington was many ‘experts’ pick to win the NFC East again this year, but they have seemingly regressed on defense from their 2020 self, and the offense is inconsistent with Taylor Heinicke throwing the football. The underutilization of Antonio Gibson is criminal, but the one thing we can rely on when Heinicke is under centre is he’ll look for his TE often. Ricky Seals-Jones has benefitted from Logan Thomas missing time through injury, and with at least 4 receptions in each of the last three games, It’s a wonder why his U/O Receptions total is still sitting at 3.5. We’ll keep playing that number until we’re given a reason not to.
The Broncos started the season 3-0 and now find themselves with a losing record! Teddy Bridgewater will be looking to get his team back on track against a poor WFT defense. Rookie RB Javonte Williams has been impressing with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and has three or more receptions in each of his last five games. I expect that to continue here, and It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Bridgewater pepper his RB with short targets to hurt the WFT underneath, where they’re weakest.
