The rested Jaguars are back after their bye week following their first win of the season against Miami in London. Whilst the Jags come into this one rested, the Seahawks do not. Seattle has played back to back primetime games since the loss of Russell Wilson, and they’ve yet to pick up a win with Geno Smith as the starting QB. Can the Jags create a London win / London buses pun after waiting so long for a win and then stringing together two in a row, or will Seattle get back to winning ways and move to 3-5 on the season?

Seattle needs a win desperately if they’re going to make a run at the playoffs once Russ returns. Geno Smith has struggled in his two starts this season, and if he can’t turn it around against a poor Jaguars secondary, you have to wonder if he’ll ever get another shot to start in the league. Tyler Lockett has been almost non-existent in the last two outings, going to show just how important his connection with Russ is. Seattle’s unimpressive defense has played tough and pulled their weight since the team lost their QB, and their ability to stop Trevor Lawrence and James Robinson in the Jags backfield will be paramount to any chance of a ‘hawks win here.

Jacksonville beat a poor Miami Dolphins side in London and then headed home for their bye week. The added rest should’ve allowed Urban Meyer to bring something Seahawks specific to the playbook for this week, so it’ll be interesting to see what, if anything, that looks like. Andrew Wingard is a tackling machine in the secondary for Jacksonville. The Thor-haired Safety has made six or more combined Tackles & Assists in five of six games so far this season, and I expect him to be busy once again.

Spread: Jaguars +3.5

Total: 44.0

Game Prediction: Jaguars 21-20 Seahawks

Best Bet: Andrew Wingard over 5.5 Tackles & Assists @ 10/11 with Bet365. [1]
