We are once again robbed of the opportunity to watch Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes duel it out. Rodgers has caused a COVID-19 controversy and is forced to hand over the reins of his offense to second-year QB Jordan Love. Can Love keep the Packers unbeaten since Week 1, or will Mahomes and the Chiefs manage to string together their first back to back wins of the season?
The Chiefs needed a late FG to pull off the win over the New York Giants on MNF, so whilst the win was a much-needed one, It was far from a “we’re back” performance by any stretch of the imagination. Patrick Mahomes threw yet another interception on Monday night, making it ten on the season and at least one in each of his last seven games. Concerning numbers, when you consider the Green Bay Packers are 2nd in turnover differential.
Jordan Love will make his first NFL start against this poor Chiefs defense, giving Packers fans hope that the former first-round pick will be able to deliver a good enough performance to at least keep them competitive. Davante Adams and Adam Jones are the keys to success for Love and Green Bay. If Jordan Love can get their two stud playmakers the ball often, they should be able to make plenty of plays against a Chiefs defense who grade 25th of 32 in both points and passing yards allowed. Adams has six or more receptions in five of seven games this season, whilst Jones has four straight games with four or more receptions.
